Air Care

"Baby, It's Cold Outside!"

Well, not yet anyway, but fall is definitely in the air with chilly mornings and Old Man Winter won't be far behind.

Regular maintenance of your heating and cooling equipment makes a lot of sense.  Here are a few reasons you'll want to consider regarding maintaining your heating unit over the coming months.

SAVINGS--spending a little money now may save you some big bucks over the long haul.  You don't drive your car without changing the oil periodically and refilling the gas tank regularly.  That would put you on foot pretty quickly.  In the same way, your heating and cooling equipment needs regular maintenance.  We recommend a checkup and thorough cleaning twice a year--usually in the spring and fall when they aren't working quite as hard.

SAFETY--gas furnaces rely on combustion to create heat.  Cracks or leaks in your heating system can pose a potential for life-threatening conditions, whether it's by fire or carbon monoxide gas.  Carbon monoxide is invisible and odorless so you have absolutely no way to tell it's there unless you have a carbon monoxide detector.  Yes, Air Care Systems by Price, Inc. does carry carbon monoxide detectors.

WARRANTY--the manufacturer of your heating system is aware that regular maintenance is a must to maintain an efficient and trouble-free system.  If you fail to provide the proper maintenance, your manufacturer may actually void any warranty repair work.  Regular maintenance helps your unit run more efficiently (saving you money) and last longer (again, saving you money by not having to replace it as quickly).

What can you do?  Start by keeping your filter changed regularly and removing any debris around the outdoor components of your system.  Do a visual inspection yourself on occasion and get regular service.  A certified HVAC technician has the skill and the tools necessary to do a complete examination of both the outdoor and indoor components and give them a thorough cleaning to remove any built-up grime and corrosion.  He can spot frayed wires, cracks in the system, and other potential problems and get them corrected before they cause any major damage.

Air Care Systems by Price, Inc. urges everyone to get their annual fall Clean & Check scheduled in the next couple of weeks in order to reserve the date and time that works best for you.  Just give us a call at (479) 777-2331.  We'll be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding how to properly maintain your existing system or explain the benefits of American Standard's great fall promotion on replacing an aging system.

Don't wait--Old Man Winter will be knocking on your door before you know it!
