Air Care

Humidity High Enough For You?

Wow!  We sure got a soaker of a rain on Sunday. Rain, rain, and more rain.  Full ditches, flooded streets and drives, then the humidity levels topping the scale. What a mess! If you weren't flooded by rainwater you may have been soaked because of a stuck float switch or clogged drain line from the amount of condensation put out from your AC.

One of the ways your air conditioner works to keep you cool is by removing the humidity from your home. That water has to go somewhere! If you haven't already done so, you might want to consider having one of our HVAC service techs come out and inspect your unit, give it a thorough cleaning, and make sure nothing is going to 'plug up' your system. It's a hassle to have to mop up the overflow, especially if it's dripping through your ceiling. (Nobody wants those ugly water stains in their home.)

It's warm and sunny and the dirt daubers and other nest building critters are in full swing. It sure doesn't take much mud to clog up a condensation line. Be aware of your outside unit and make sure that there's no debris around it and nothing (acorns, mud, etc.) is clogging up the drainage system.
